Milled metal clicks. Grooves grab a little, then don’t. Urethane mutes. None of those sentences pick a winner until the ball sits or hops on this carpet, then meets bermuda later.
June will not restock a face because a television promised a “truer roll.” Roll is a word people use when they mean hop. A soft insert can hide a slight open face for two feet and then dump the ball to the grain. A mill that clicks can feel harsh and still start the ball on the rail you aimed. Sound is not start line.
